Note according to the Battery Act – BattG
In connection with the sale of devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Ordinance:
- If not stored and disposed of properly, the chemical substances contained in batteries can be harmful to health and the environment. The only way to avoid harmful effects on health and the environment is to collect and recycle batteries separately from other household waste. Batteries must therefore not be disposed of with normal household waste.
- As the end user, you are legally obliged to return or properly dispose of used batteries (rechargeable and non-rechargeable). You can hand in your used batteries free of charge at public collection points in your municipality or at points of sale. Disposal at sales outlets is limited to quantities that are usual for end users for disposal purposes and to used batteries that the distributor carries or has carried as new batteries in its range.
- This symbol means that you must not dispose of batteries in household waste due to their harmful substance content. Below these symbols you will also find the following symbols with the following meanings:
Pb: Battery contains lead
Cd: Battery contains cadmium
Hg: Battery contains mercury
You will also find these instructions again in the documents accompanying the consignment or in the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Use of the e-mail address for sending direct advertising
We intend to use your electronic mail address (e-mail address) obtained in connection with ordering processes or services to send you direct advertising for our own similar goods or services under the conditions of Section 7 (3) UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition, see text excerpt below). If you do not agree to this, you can object to its use at any time. The contact details for exercising your objection can be found in the legal notice.
Security when buying
We take the protection of customer data very seriously. We therefore only use tested encryption techniques for communication. Data traffic between siewert-kau.de and its customers is processed using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption protocol. SSL was specially developed for secure data transmission on the Internet. You can tell whether the data traffic is processed under SSL encryption by the changed URL. Instead of “http”, you will find “https” for encrypted data transmission.
Excerpt from the “Act against Unfair Competition (UWG)
§ 7 Unreasonable harassment
- A commercial act that unreasonably harasses a market participant is prohibited. This applies in particular to advertising, although it is clear that the targeted market participant does not want this advertising.
- Unreasonable harassment must always be assumed

- advertising with a telephone call to a consumer without their prior express consent or to another market participant without their at least presumed consent,
- advertising using an automatic calling machine, a fax machine or electronic mail without the prior express consent of the addressee, or
- in the case of advertising with a message in which the identity of the sender on whose behalf the message is transmitted is concealed or concealed or in which there is no valid address to which the recipient can send a request to stop such messages, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs.
- By way of derogation from paragraph 2 number 3, unreasonable harassment shall not be assumed in the case of advertising using electronic mail if
- an entrepreneur has received the customer’s electronic mail address in connection with the sale of goods or services,
- the entrepreneur uses the address for direct advertising for his own similar goods or services,
- the customer has not objected to the use and
