RMA - Returning goods quickly and easily

Returns and complaints made easy

Defective goods? No problem!
Siewert & Kau Technologies naturally subjects all items to regular quality checks. However, with more than 15.7 million items dispatched each year, it is possible that the item delivered may not meet your requirements or may be faulty.

Of course, all our products come with a warranty. If the manufacturer does not guarantee direct service processing, you can contact us at any time.

Transport damage processing

  • Rapid assistance in the event of transport damage and shortages in the parcel.
    Please note:
    → Leave the goods and the shipping carton unchanged in any case.
    → Do not use the goods under any circumstances.
    → Report the damage immediately, i.e. within 24 hours.

     

    The shipping carton must be kept until complete clarification!

    Obviously damaged/re-taped packaging must be noted on the delivery documents when the consignment is accepted and countersigned by the driver.

    If the driver refuses to make a note of the damage, it is best to refuse acceptance.

Direct Processing via the Manufacturer

The following product groups must be processed directly through the manufacturer:

  • Brother consumables (ink, toner, etc.)
  • HP Business devices
  • Software

**** Important information about Brother ink cartridges ****

We would like to inform you that there may currently be longer delays in transportation. As a result, the ink cartridges from our warehouse have a minimum shelf life of at least 3 months instead of the recommended minimum shelf life of 12 months. We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from requesting returns of these ink cartridges.

RMA Processing

  • Requesting an RMA number via our online portal
  • Receiving an RMA number entitles you to send in the goods, but does not constitute approval for free processing under the guarantee/warranty. Such a decision can only be made after inspection of the goods or the defect.
  • Before sending goods to us, ensure that all data stored on the product is backed up and personal, confidential or proprietary information is removed. We are not liable for permanent loss, damage, misuse, restoration or recovery of data. We do not create data backups. This also applies in the event that you can no longer access your data due to a defect. We ask you to ensure that all Apple products are completely disconnected from the cloud and/or that no Google accounts are connected or logged in to the device. Otherwise, a return fee of €24.90 plus VAT will be charged.
  • The return of the defective goods must be free of charge. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of goods sent carriage forward.
  • Please ensure that the goods are sent in securely packed and padded. We are not liable for transport damage or loss of the goods in transit to us.
  • Please return the items to us including the corresponding hardware components (e.g. complete desktop, all cables included, etc.).
  • The original packaging, driver CDs and manuals do not have to be included. Please send motherboards and graphics cards without accessories, but with CPU cover / I/O shield / backplate / 12V adapter cable.
  • Damage caused by leaking ink & toner cartridges is not covered by the RMA.
  • Please print out the RMA confirmation and enclose it with the package.
  • Please note the RMA number(s) assigned to you clearly visible on the packaging. We reserve the right to refuse to accept parcels without an RMA number.
  • The goods should be returned to:

  • The return period is 14 days from receipt of the RMA number. Complaints that reach us after the deadline will be returned unprocessed and subject to a charge (€24.90 plus VAT).
  • In the event of damage and problems that are not covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee provisions, the following costs may be incurred:
    • Calculation of an inspection fee
    • Preparation of a cost estimate
    • Creation of an invoice (exchange, repair, subsequent charge, etc.)

Any costs incurred are to be borne by you and will not be covered by us.

Shipping to Countries outside the EU

All taxes and costs in the receiving country must be borne by the recipient.
