Our privacy policy

Data transmitted between Siewert & Kau and its clients for order implementation is stored and processed by an EDP system. The protection of personal data is of great importance to Siewert & Kau. Therefore, we regard adherence to existing privacy protection regulations as a given. This Privacy Statement shall apply to the websites of the Siewert & Kau Computertechnik GmbH, the Siewert & Kau Logistik GmbH and the Siewert & Kau Service GmbH for which Siewert & Kau is responsible.

 

1. Data Collection and Processing During Internet Access

When you visit our websites, our servers will temporarily save any access made in a log file. The following data will be collected and saved until its automatic deletion:

  • IP address of the computer requesting access
  • Time and date of the access
  • Name and URL of the file accessed
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Notification about whether access was successful
  • Identification data of the browser and operating system used
  • Website from which access is made
  • Name of your Internet service provider

This data will be processed to provide usage of the website (establishing a connection), system security and technical administration of the network infrastructure and to optimize our Internet offer.

IP addresses will only be processed if Siewert & Kau’s network infrastructure is attacked or for other data protection reasons.

Personal user profiles are not established.

Data will not be processed beyond the extent stated above, unless doing so is required for processing an order made to us or if you expressly agree to further processing.

 

2. Use and Processing of Personal Data

  • We will only collect personal data insofar as it is needed for implementing order processes, including deliveries, and to provide contractual services. Any potential further use, e.g., for market research, advertising campaigns or newsletters, will only be made with your express permission and insofar as doing so is legally permissible. Should you grant your permission, you may revoke it at any time. Our contact details can be found in our imprint. You may also unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link.

    Personal data transmitted with an order will be processed by us to the extent described above or to complete orders or handle inquiries.

    Transmissions of personal data to state institutions or officials will only be made in accordance with statutory regulations or if doing so is required for legal or criminal prosecution of attacks to our network infrastructure. Any service providers commissioned for implementation will merely receive the data required for order completion and shall be bound to confidentiality like our own employees. Transmissions to others (third parties) will only be made insofar as they are legally permissible. Beyond that, your data will not be provided to third parties.

 

3. Cookies
